Authors and Rightholders
Author
Author, as defined by the Copyright and Related Rights Act (ZASP), is a natural person that created an individual intellectual creation in the fields of literature, science and art.
Rightholder
Rightholder can be a natural person who has legally inherited authors rights from the Author (usually their heirs), but can also be a legal person who has either inherited or became owner of the rights for certain authors works in an other way.
In order to be assigned the authors rights for a certain repertoire, you are obliged to prove your ownership of these rights by a reliable act, such as court decision where the inherited rights are clearly stated, or other act, such as contract or similar.
